    With the vote to bless same-sex unions, the Episcopal Church becomes the largest U.S. denomination to officially sanction same-sex relationships. Homosexuality has become a flashpoint at the intersection of religion, family and politics. A Thorn in the Flesh tells the story of how homosexuality has been used to further conservative political agendas, both here and abroad. Dr. Hall is the President of Integrity, an organization seeking to proclaim God’s all-inclusive love for LGBTQ persons and all who love them, especially in the context of the Episcopal Church. Free.

    Dedication of New Icon in the Chapel

    This year’s Formation Class has gifted the parish with a beautiful new icon of St. Luke, which has been installed in the chapel.   We give thanks to this group for their generous gift (Michael Horvath, Rachel Hurn, Nick Nicholson, and Elisabeth Watson).  The icon will be dedicated as a part of the regular service of Holy Eucharist at 6:15 pm on Tuesday, May 7th . All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

    Save the Drama! A Festival of Forum and Legislative Theatre Addressing Issues Faced by LGBTQ Homeless Youth in NYC
    Friday May 17 – Sunday, May 19, 2013
    This festival features forum theatre troupes from three community organizations serving the LGBTQ youth homeless population of New York City: the Ali Forney Center, the Hetrick-Martin Institute, & The Door. These troupes will come together with City Council members, activists, and a host of community organizations to investigate, debate and transform – theatrically – the immediate challenges facing NYC’s LGBTQ homeless youth. The festival includes performances based on the actors’ real-life experiences, a legislative theatre session, workshops and community dialogue.
